    Owari.
Well, this is it. This is pretty much my last entry here. To think that this only lasted for a short six months. I don't plan on deleting the journal.

I started a new diary elsewhere, but unlike this one, it will actually get a lot of time from me. This one pretty much was a test journal for the lack of a better word. It felt good to conduct experiments here, but I figured that it would get more attention. Oh well. At least I did what I wanted to do.

Uh, I guess that's it. Go to my new blog. It's starting to get some attention this time around. Oh and yes, this is the end. There's no way I'm making a long departing post like Tim.

Fighting a cold. Moving a bunch of stuff. Irritated by "Jingi Storm". I think those ten words tell you what I've been doing as of late?

    Wow

Wow. I need to place in entries more often. Heh.

Uh, I said this on my site, but I should say it here also. When the site turns four, I will not update for a year. I never did remember the last time I slept a third of the year at least. It has always been a fourth or less for quite a while. Not only could I use the rest, four is a bad number in Japan and China. So, I'm going to tighten up with the number and not update in year four.

I will be less evil than I had intentioned to be. My coworker now has to fill in two days for me instead of what I originally said. What was it again? Oh, buying "True Love Story III's" soundtrack.

I'm tired. I'm sore. I'm unable to think straight right now. This is all despite having eight hours of sleep last night. Not bad enough? I have a shift today. I'm going to torture my coworker to buy me "True Love Story III's" original soundtrack for filling in for her at a time I didn't want to work at.

I better prepare in a half hour or so. I'll talk about the good some other time. Just not now.

Anyone interested in these games? My friend in San Francisco is selling these. That's why. There are a few others, but I can't remember them right now.

    A random entry

So, I didn't touch "Sousei no Aquarion" yesterday. I will touch it. Just not now.

Kouda-san will be back in anime, but it's only for that new "Kanon" series. So, for those that expected her to be in a new new anime series, uh sorry, but she will not be in one this year. Like I said yesterday, she's most likely preparing for an end of the year tour seeing that now these days, she's bringing out concerts.

Sakurai Tomo-san's birthday is coming up. Don't ask me what is she doing now because honestly, I don't know. I don't remember anything about her bringing out concerts like Kouda-san.

    I'll update my site later.

    Back from San Francisco

Today I believe is Kouda Mariko-san's birthday. However, one, it was yesterday in Japan and two, I seriously forgot how old is she now. She's definitely not 27. I can say that. Ha ha ha!

    *reviews quickly*

    "Oh! Oh, okay. Okay."

I will not reveal her age because I think she would kill me for doing so. My guess on what she is doing right now is that she's planning for an end of the year concert. Wouldn't be surprised either way.

"Moero! Justice Gakuen" is a drug. I have not unlocked every single item yet though. I still need to get the Nikki items, but other than that, I should have everything. "Justice Gakuen" is the only 3D fighting game series, even though it's really 2.5D, that I can probably kill a very good amount with on a good day and without myself holding back. That and it's the only series I still give a care and make myself dedicated to. I can't say the same for "Soul", "Virtua Fighter" or any other 3D fighting game. I will most likely make a guide of this game, but I should give a warning that I will not be covering the English version, as that's the horrid version and I don't have that version.

I did touch "Zombie Revenge", though I kind of wish I didn't, seeing that it's the English version. Yes, I'm picky. I know. That's how I am when it comes to this issue. I didn't touch "Sousei no Aquarion" yet, but I will do so later today.

Okay. I'm hungry. Be back later.

    An early return

I'm back. Sort of. The reason for this early comeback is because I'll be in San Francisco tomorrow to pick up my Dreamcast and "Sousei no Aquarion". Thus, I decided to do all of this updating a day ahead.

Yesterday in Japan was Hiramatsu Akiko-san's birthday, though this is the case still here in America. I sometimes think that she's only 29. Ha ha ha! Ahem!

What am I thinking about right now? Outside of beating the heat (as it's still summer you know), planning on what games I should get next. As it stands, my library will look like this by tomorrow:

PS2 - "Twinkle Star Sprites II", "Shikigami no Shiro" and "Sousei no Aquarion".

DC - "Moero! Justice Gakuen" and "Zombie Revenge".

For the PS2, I will get "Samurai Spirits: Tenkaichi Kenkakuden", "Pink Sweets" when it does come out, and probably the "SFZ" pack. For the DC, I will get "Soul Calibur", "Black/Matrix AD" and "Puyo Puyo~n". Seeing that it's hard to find "SC II", I might as well get the first "Soul Calibur" game. Before I forget, yes, you can find "SC II" easily on EBay, but you can only find the English version easily, which I don't want. Personally, the second "Soul" game, as in "Soul Calibur", is better than the third one because you get a dead on port and that's a statement you can't say about the third game. Yes, I don't have Talim, but structure beats characters any single day in entertainment.

Oh. I am 50/50 on giving up my GBA SP to my cousins in the Philippines because one, I need to find ways to cut back game spending and two, seeing that it's the English version, they'll understand easily. (There's no way they'll survive with my PS2 or DC.)

My friend somehow got a Japanese Saturn. He's looking for a "Bomberman" game. So, you know what to do.

I guess that's all for now. I still need to clean up. That and update my new duo's site. Ja mata ne.

Comic Market reminder and a dedicated month.

For those that need a reminder, Comic Market/Comiket/Komiketto will be held not this weekend, but the weekend after this one. It will start on the 11th, a week from the day after tomorrow. If you don't know where the official site is by now, it's right here.

Well, today is Hayami Shou-san's birthday. (In reality, it's not anymore because in Japan, it's the third now.) I have nothing witty to say. Just want to give him my blessings. He is 48 now. Otanjoubi omedetou gozaimasu Hayami-san.

Right now, it's pretty much the day I have to fix a lot of things. That and my mom still owes my cousin money. I so have been wanting that "Sentimental Graffiti" soundtrack for a long time already. It's killing me. Oh. I better make that list. Completed tasks have been striked off.

    E-mails

    Diary

    Car matters

    Laundry

I somehow found that pin I lost a while back, but somehow, I lost my name tag for work. Bleh! This is what I hate about pins. You can lose them easily.

Yesterday, I bought a coin case. I felt that I did a good thing there because I am constantly carrying coins. So, I'm good there.

I guess that's all for now? I have work in a few hours. Got a horrid shift today, as I'm working until 22:00. I prefer morning shifts. Well, at least I got 11 hours of sleep last night, unlike the night before in which of the 7 hours of sleep I got, only 5 of them were good. This will most likely be the last entry I will have up for a while because this month is dedicated to sleep and work. So, I'll be back on the first of next month most likely.

A good death and a bad death.

The good death is the death of E3! Eric-Jon, Aderack for many of you, has brought this link right here. Yeah! Good riddance to a horrid event!

The bad death is the death of designer Saitou Tomoharu-san. Brandon, Exodus for many of you or Brackt for few of you, stated that "died due to a malignant tumor which metastasized in the lungs, even after the amputation of his leg". Known works include "Bare Knuckle II", "Culdcept" and "Ketsui". He was only 38 years old.

    Challenge

"Neowave". Difficulty - 8. My defense level - 1. The computer's defense level - 8. My power bar charge - normal. The computer's power bar charge - max.

This is what I did. I used the wolves team. Granted, the game's not that hard, but it is a challenge to take note of never the less and I finished Geese off with a perfect as I used Terry when he took down Joe and Andy. I think the challenge would be better if the game's say "1996". Oh and guess what? I didn't use a continue...at all.

Well, once again, I've performed a hard task to do. Am I considered to be a video game god now? I don't know. Maybe? I still haven't done tasks like finishing a game of "Parodius" though.

    "The King of Fighters Neowave"

I just got "Neowave" recently. The game isn't the best in the series, but at least it kills a good amount of the games in the series, especially "XI". Ha ha ha!

Oh. I just saw my youngest brother beat young Geese...on level five. He used a continue, but he didn't use any service of some sort to make a valid point. I think he used Terry, Kula and Iori.

So, he killed off Omega Rugal in "1998", Krizalid in "1999" and now young Geese here. Whether or not he's a prodigy, I don't know, though I'm leaning towards no because he still hasn't killed off enough bosses to make me think that he's a prodigy. Plus, he still hasn't finished any classic games yet. He may have finished "Rockman Zero II" before me, but that's still not good enough.

    Seiyuu catchup.

If you know me well enough, and this goes to those online, you already are aware that one of my fortes is seiyuu. Usually, when I hear a familiar voice in a series I never studied, my mind would say "Hey! That's the voice of that particular seiyuu". Most of the time, I would nail it.

Well, just recently, I reflected back on the seiyuu of the past. Ah, we came such a long way. No doubt about it.

The 1980s had and will always have the best seiyuu boom. Not just female seiyuu. Overall. This was the decade of people like Hayashibara Megumi-san, Mitsuishi Kotono-san, Inoue Kikuko-san, Nanba Keiichi-san, the Yamadera couple of Kouichi-san and Mika-san and a bunch of other seiyuu.

The 1990s was and will always be solid, but it's not as big as the 1980s. During this time, aside from the fact that I was really introduced to anime, we were first introduced to Iizuka Mayumi-san as a seiyuu, not just a child star, and this was the time we were first introduced to Sakamoto Maaya-san. Besides what I have said up to this point, this was the decade of people like Seki Tomokazu-san, Kanna Nobutoshi-san, Hoshi Souichirou-san, Kawasumi Ayako-san, Kouda Mariko-san, Horie Yui-san and some others.

While the 2000s mean a new generation of seiyuu, this also means a bunch of names I have to remember. Too bad I'm having trouble right here. Outside of Mizuki Nana-san and Asano Masumi-san, there are not many names I remember.

The male seiyuu scenario: oh, wow. It's worse than the 2000s one. The youngest male seiyuu I know of in which I can rememeber his name on a daily basis is Seki-san and he's not getting any younger you know. No joke. The youngest male seiyuu I know in which I can't remember his name on a daily basis is Taniyama Kishou-san.

Why is this decade difficult for me to remember? I don't know. I guess it's because of the nostalgia factor being too strong for me.

Recently, I bumped into various pages regarding seiyuu. Of course, Hayashibara-san was expected be #1 on two of the pages I saw, which shows you how strong nostalgia can be. (I don't know about the third one because the computer I'm on can't display kanji and kana.) However, that's where the similarites end pretty much. Ask 10 typical anime/manga/game fans outside of Japan who Hayashibara-san is and maybe only one fan will not know who she is. Then, ask 10 typical anime/manga/game fans outside of Japan who Mizuki-san is and maybe only three of them at most will know her. I think it was said best that while seiyuu fans outside of Japan know seiyuu through anime/manga/games, Japan on the other hand has various aspects such as music and magazines and Mizuki-san, as well as Tamura Yukari-san, are good examples.

The problem is that not many people have the opportunity to experience these sorts of items. Of course, some have the resources. I'm one of those lucky people that has the resources.

So, why did I bring up a seiyuu rant all of a sudden? Remember a few paragraphs back in which I said that the youngest male seiyuu I know of in which I can rememeber his name on a daily basis is Seki-san and he's not getting any younger? Well, that applies to the seiyuu I know of from the old days. Before the year's over, Touma Yumi-san is 40 and next year, Hayashibara-san as well as Koyasu Takehito-san become 40.

What do I do from here? I guess I have to do what I usually like doing: studying. Granted, I don't know the names yet, but at least I'm trying. Now, I better get the "Negima" radio program album with Kanda Akemi-san and Nonaka Ai-san. See how much progress I'm making?
